How long does
it take? I allow one
and a half hours for each session. You will be on the table for approximately
45 to 60 minutes.
Does it hurt?
No. A colonic should NOT
hurt. Your first experience might seem a little strange.
However, most of my clients find the experience pleasant once they
become accustomed to it and learn to relax.
Do I have to fast before a
colonic? No.
Fasting is not a requirement. However, you do NOT want a
full stomach when you come in for your session. That would be
uncomfortable. Eat lightly during the day of your session.
And, NO FOOD for two hours before your session. Also, see
Preparing for a Colonic.
Can I eat afterwards?
Yes, you can.
Are there restrictions on
activities after a colonic?
Listen to your body. If you feel tired, rest and drink a lot
of purified water. If you are not tired, drink a lot of purified
water and go for it. I will advise first time clients to rest a
bit after a colonic if possible to give their colon time to settle down.
How will I feel after a
colonic? Some clients
feel fatigued afterward a session. Other clients feel quite
energized. If you feel tired or achy, it is because your body is
still detoxifying. Drink a lot of purified water and rest.
You will feel quite renewed afterwards.
I heard that getting a colonic
depletes the body of necessary bacteria. Is this true?
No. This is not true. The friendly flora that dwell in the gut
reproduce more efficiently in a clean environment. A colonic will
not deplete the friendly flora. Conversely, the unfriendly
bacteria thrive in a dirty environment. It is this unfriendly
bacteria that cause all manner of health issues.
This sounds like a very
embarrassing procedure to me...
It is the fear of embarrassment that
is worse than any actual embarrassment. I will ease the dis-comfort
on your first visit by education and my gentle manner.
How do I know if I have this
condition of toxins and encrusted feces in my colon?
Symptoms can include chronic constipation or diarrhea, fatigue,
depression, headaches, skin blemishes, bad breath, lack of vitality and
several others.
How many sessions will I need?
Each person is unique. I design each program individually.
Generally three colonics are adequate for a general cleansing.
More may be useful to tone up a lazy colon in someone who has a chronic
bowel disorder like constipation.
